Informations about the FS2 with the Vixen Sphinx mount


Sie können die FS2 an der Vixen Sphinx Montierung verwenden. 
Die im Original vorhandenen Servo-Motore müssen durch Schrittmotore ausgetauscht werden. Um den Umbau möglichst einfach zu gestalten, bietet ASTRO ELECTRONIC ein Motorkit mit hochwertigen Schrittmotoren an. Das Motorset passt auch an die Sphinx-Deluxe Verion.		 You can use the FS2 with the Vixen Sphinx mount.
The servo motors from the original mount must be replaced by stepper motors. To simplify the conversion as much as possible, ASTRO ELECTRONIC offers a motor kit with two high quality stepper motors.
The motor kit also fits to the Sphinx-Deluxe version.

Das Motorkit enthält zwei SECM3 Motore mit 10:1 Getrieben, zwei Messing-Zahnräder, eine kleine Alu-Platte mit dem Helligkeitsregler für die Polsucher-Beleuchtung, das Kabel und die nötigen Schrauben.

The motor kit contains two SECM3 motors with 10:1 gearbox, two brass wheels, a small aluminium plate with the regulator for the pole finder scope illumination, the cable and the required screws.
 
Zuerst werden die Original-Motore aus der Montierung ausgebaut.

First the original motors are removed from the mount.
 
Dann werden die Schnecken und Schneckenräder mit Klebeband abgeklebt, damit keine Späne reinfallen können.
Die mit Pfeilen markierten Bohrungen müssen auf 4mm aufgebohrt werden.

Then some pieces of tape are glued over the worms and worm wheels, so that no filings can fall on them.
The two bores marked with red arrows must be bored with a 4mm drill.
Auf der anderen Seite müssen ebenfalls zwei Bohrugen auf 4mm aufgebohrt werden.

On the other side there are also two bores that must be bored with a 4mm drill.
Dann werden die neuen Motore eingebaut, und die Messing-Zahnräder werden auf de Abtriebs-Wellen der Vorgetriebe montiert. Die Motore haben soviel Bewegungsfreiheit dass das Spiel zwischen den Zahnrädern auf Null justiert werden kann.

Now the new motors are installed, and the brass wheels are mounted on the output shaft of the gearbox. The motor is adjusted so that the clearance between the gear wheels becomes almost zero.

Das kleine Alu-Blech mit dem Helligkeitsregler für die Polsucher-Beleuchtung wird eingebaut.

The small aluminium sheet with the regulator for the pols scope illumination is mounted.
 
Dann wird der Sub-D Steckverbinder von innen festgeschraubt. Der Helligkeitsregler und die in der Montierng eingebaute LED werden über kleine Steckverbinder angeschlossen. Es sind keine Lötarbeiten erforderlich.

The DB15 connector is mounted from inside. The brightness regulator and the LED are connected with small connectors. Soldering is not required.
