Sie können die FS2 an der Mizar EX Montierung verwenden.  Es gibt zwei Möglichkeiten: 1. Verwendung der vorhandenen Schrittmotore, dies ist die preisegünstigere Variante. 2. Das ASTRO ELECTRONIC Motorkit mit hochwertigen Schrittmotoren, für wesentlich schnellere Schwenkgeschwindigkeit (siehe weiter unten). Wegen der relativ großen Getriebe-Untersetzung ist die maximale Schwenk-Geschwindigkeit mit den Original-Motoren nur etwa 32-fach (64x bei 30V, 80x bei 40V). Die in der Montierung eingebaute Original-Elektronik wird entfernt und durch eine Aluminium-Platte ersetzt, in der sich zwei Steckverbinder und ein Helligkeitsregler für die Polsucher-Beleuchtung befinden. Die Kabel von den beiden Schrittmotoren werden mit einem Steckverbinder angeschlossen. Lötarbeiten sind nicht erforderlich. Die Polsucher-Beleuchtung wird auch von der FS2 mit Strom versorgt.  Sie brauchen neben der FS2 nur noch passende Anschlusskabel und die neue Aluminium-Platte. Beides können Sie entweder selber machen oder von ASTRO ELECTRONIC beziehen.

You can use the FS2 with the Mizar EX mount. There are two possibilities: 1. Use the original stepper motors from Mizar, this is the economical solution. 2. Use the ASTRO ELECTRONIC motor kit with high quality stepper motors, for much faster slewing speed (see below). Unfortunately the gear reduction ratio is very large with this mount, and that's why the maximum slewing speed is only about 32x (64x at 30 volts, 80x at 40 volts) with the original motors. The built-in original electronics is removed and replaced by a new aluminium plate, which contains two connectors and a brightness regulator for the polar alignment scope. The wires from the stepper motors are plugged to the connectors. Soldering is not required. The polar alignment scope illumination is powered from the FS2 too. Besides the FS2 you need only suitable cables and the new aluminium plate. Both can be selfmade or you can buy it from ASTRO ELECTRONIC.

Hier sehen Sie die geöffnete Montierung mit der neuen Aluminiumplatte. Die Kabel von den Schrittmotoren werden mit einem Steckverbinder angeschlossen. 	Hier sehen Sie die qualitativ hochwertigen Schrittmotore für die Mizar EX Montierung. Es handelt sich um zwei Motore des Typs SECM3 mit 10:1 Vorgetriebe. Beim Deklinations-Motor (links im Bild) befindet sich zwischen Motor und Getriebe ein spezieller Adapter, damit der Polsucher durch den entstehenden Hohlraum hindurchschauen kann. Dort ist auch eine rote LED für die Polsucher-Beleuchtung befestigt.   Here you see the high quality stepper motors for the Mizar EX mount.  These are motors of type SECM-3 with a 10:1 gearbox. The declination motor (the left one in the picture) has a special adapter between the motor and the gearbox, so that the polar finder scope can look through the hole. There is also a red LED mounted there, for illumination of the polar scope.
	Hier sehen Sie die geöffnete Montierung mit den eingebauten Motoren. Beide Motore passen in die Montierung hinein und stehen nicht nach aussen über. Here you see the opened mount with the new motors. Both motors fit into the mount and do not jut out.
	Der Strahlengang des Polsuchers wird durch die Welle und das Gehäuse des Deklinations-Motors etwas abgeschattet. Das sichtbare Bildfeld wird dadurch nicht kleiner, aber das Bild wird insgesamt ca. 30% dunkler.  The light path of the polar finder scope is slightly obstructed by the shaft of the declination motor. The visible field of view doesn't become smaller, but the total brightness of the field is reduced by about 30%.
	Die Montierung wird mit einer neuen Aluminium-Platte verschlossen, in der sich ein Steckverbinder befindet. Das Kabel geht zur FS2. The mount is closed by a new Aluminium plate with one connector in it.
