Autoguider-Optokoppler Ein Autoguider-Optokoppler bewirkt eine galvanische Trennung der Leitung vom Autoguider zur FS2. Normalerweise ist diese Trennung bei der FS2 nicht notwendig. -- Der Optokoppler schützt sowohl den Autoguider als auch die Fernrohrsteuerung vor Überspannungen. Die Isolationsspannung beträgt 2000 Volt. -- Wenn der Autoguider und die FS2 an die gleiche Spannungsquelle ( Batterie oder Netzgerät) angeschlossen sind, dann kann es in Einzelfällen dazu führen dass Störungen von der FS2 zur Kamera übertragen werden, was sich als leichte Bildstörungen bemerkbar machen kann. Der Optokoppler verhindert die Übertragung dieser Störungen. -- Sichere Vermeidung von Problemen mit Potenzialdifferenzen. Wenn die Masse-Potentiale von Autoguider und Fernrohr-Steuerung unterschiedlich sind, dann muss ein Optokoppler verwendet werden. Dies trifft aber für die FS2 nicht zu, weil bei der FS2 die Masse am Autoguider-Eingang dem Minuspol der Betriebsspannung entspricht. Bei allen bekannten Autoguidern ist das auch so. -- Bei den Autoguidern ST-4, ST-5, ST-6 und STV ist ein Optokoppler nicht notwendig, weil die Relais-Ausgänge bereits potentialfrei sind. Es gibt drei verschiedene Versionen des Optokopplers:

Autoguider Optocoupler An optocoupler is used if an isolation is required in the cable from the autoguider to the FS2. Normally this isolation is not required with the FS2. -- The optocoupler protects both the autoguider and the telescope drive from overvoltage. The isolation voltage is 2000V. -- If the autoguider and the FS2 are powered from the same supply (battery or mains power supply) then in rare cases it's possible that interference gets over the autoguider cable from the FS2 to the camera, where it can be noticed as small artefacts in the image. The optocoupler avoids these problems. -- The autoguider must be used when the autoguider and the telescope drive have different ground levels. However this is not the case with the FS2 and all known autoguiders, because the ground level at the FS2's autoguider input is the minus pole of the power supply.  -- For ST-4, ST-5, ST-6 and STV autoguiders you don't need the optocoupler as these autoguiders have already isolated relay outputs. There are three different versions of the autoguider avaialble:

Dieser Koppler wird verwendet bei den Kameras ST-7, ST-8, ST-9, ST10... wenn auch ein Filterrad angeschlossen ist. Beidseitig RJ12 Buchsen, incl. kurzem X Kabel mit beidseitig RJ12 Stecker. Die Schaltung ist wahlweise erhältlich als Optokoppler (mit Transistor-Ausgängen, max. 30V 50mA) oder als Relais-Koppler (mit echten Schalt-Kontakten am Ausgang, max. 200V 1A 20W). Für die FS2 sind beide Versionen geeignet.  Achtung: Es gibt zwei verschiedene Versionen des CFW8 Adapters: Alte Version: Auf Pin 6 der RJ12 Buchse liegt +5V, in diesem Fall kann der Optokoppler oder Relais-Koppler verwendet werden. Neue Version: Pin 6 der RJ12 Buchse ist nicht belegt, der Optokoppler oder Relais-Koppler kann nicht verwendet werden. Man müsste im CFW8 Adapter den fehlenden Draht nachträglich einbauen. These couplers are used for ST-7, 8, 9, 10... cameras when a filter wheel is connected too. RJ12 connectors at both sides, with a short X cable with RJ12 connectors. This circuit is available in two different versions, either with transistor outputs (max. 30V 50mA) or with real relay outputs (maximum rating 200V 1A 20W). Both versions can be used with the FS2. Take care, there exist two different versions of the CFW8 adapter: -- Old version: On pin 6 of the RJ12 connector there is +5 Volts. In this case the optocoupler or relay coupler can be used. -- New version: Pin 6 of the RJ12 connetor is unconnected, so the optocoupler or relay coupler cannot be used unless you modify the CFW8 adapter.
